We often go to history to make sense of what we see around us, building on our historical knowledge and consciousness, to be able to explain and so deal with the contingencies of political and cultural life; however, it would be interesting to see, observe, and closely encounter the life on the street, and home, and the everyday situations of politics and culture to see what they softly talk about »history« itself. Objects and situations in everyday life produce encounters that generate discontents, instabilities, or at times flourishes – these situations constantly destabilize the ground beneath our feet – producing societies, and politics that are in constant states of flux – at times, evidently so, and often so mild we miss the tremors. What happens to our understanding of history, our historical consciousness, our everyday perceptions of culture, when our everyday life clearly points towards histories we are only beginning to now sense, standing right amidst these situations?
